It's been way too long....

I don't feel like life has been that crazy, but it seems nap schedules and life schedules have changed just enough to limit my time in front of the computer. That said... I have some long overdue family memories to post. Here are some pictures from my family's visit during their Spring break. They were able to visit a couple weeks after Mark's 1st Birthday, so we got to celebrate again. Aside from time with the Lord, there really is nothing like time with family :-)

Preston's Park: We spent one day at this fabulous playground. It was a warm and wonderful afternoon watching Mark explore.

telling Aunt Katie stories-- already talking with your hands??

Can you see the message from Aunt Kate??
Mark's favorite activity was the music maker

Mark's 2nd 1st Birthday cake... we had to hide it from him because he wanted the animal crackers from off the tops of the cupcakes!!

Wow!! Uncle Jon is soooo BIG!!!
Great Aunt Gwen send Mark this HUGE elephant. It was an instant hit! We loved watching him try to carry it around.
doing some morning reading at his new table and chairs from Grandma and Poppie

Poppie and Mark played outside every afternoon
Mark loved to give Grandma kisses through the gate every morning

Why the name "Drinking From Our Saucer"?

The full phrase is "I'm drinking from my saucer because my cup is overflowing." It came from Chris's grandmother who would say it when she would get overwhelmed with her blessings. Through the years the phrase has been shortened to "I'm drinking from my saucer!" We thought it was a perfect fit for a blog that documented God's many blessings to us.
